This didn’t start as a business idea. It started from my own experience of hating having my hair brushed as a child. I grew up with really knotty hair, and brushing was always painful. I remember sitting there, bracing for the pull of a brush. The problem was never brushing hair, it was how much it hurt. I never forgot that feeling of tension before a brush touched my hair, and when I started this journey, it became my mission to design a hairbrush that took away that morning fear. I created the brush I wish I had growing up. I didn’t want another generation of kids to associate hair care with discomfort.
